was born in 1991, when we invested in our first llamas.
We raised and showed llamas for 10 years thinking we would be able to sell offspring, but never sold any babies.
Needing to find a reason to continue raising llamas, took us to the fiber part of the animal.
I am now content to watch my herd and use what I shear every year to either use myself, sell to spinners or sell to knitters.

Butterfly Forge is also blacksmithing and welding. In my husband's spare time, he creates blacksmith items usually related to nature.

We have tried to include information in this site that might be of interest to both new and established llama owners.

We are here to support the llama community and offer mentoring.
